Senior Center Renovation
In the Andover Facilities Master Plan, the Senior Center at Punchard was one of six facilities categorized in the highest priority in need of improvements. The current facility is an aging facility and does not adequately meet the current needs of our Andover seniors. A building study feasibility study was funded in FY2018 for this project. The study identified a comprehensive list of needs, upgrades, and repairs for the Senior Center at Punchard focusing on customer service enhancements, accessibility improvements and ADA compliance upgrades. The 2018 Annual Town meeting approved funding for design services that captured the results of the feasibility study and prepared the final designs for the project. The 2019 Annual Town Meeting approved funding for construction. The renovated Senior Center, which will now be known as The Robb Center, named after Don and Vicky Robb, is anticipated to open in Spring of 2021.
